WHAT IS GRACE?

“The free unmerited favor of the Sacred”
Living in a state of Grace is the knowing that we are Awareness Itself; and not separate from the Sacred. It is not necessary to DO anything for Grace to enter our daily lives. Perhaps Gratitude is a prelude to welcoming Grace into our lives, for when we are practicing Gratitude or living gratitude, we are in alignment with our Soul's purpose, and our Soul's purpose is to experience and live a Grace-full life. If Grace is "unmerited" does our belief that we must deserve Grace or God's love get in our way of noticing when Grace is present? What prevents us from allowing this state to be an abiding state of consciousness? Is it our thoughts, feelings, resistance, judgements of self and others that keep us separate from the Sacred Source of Grace? When we “want” something, how does this interfere with the receiving of Grace? Or does it? Is the relinquishment of the ego necessary for Grace to enter?
If Grace, or Awareness is always present, (and it is) what prevents us from allowing ourselves to open to that possibility? Is it a spontaneous opening or an act of will? Or is it a spontaneous heart opening to that which we cannot understand, which allows the mystery of the heart and the Sacred to fill our live?. To What are we opening? Is Faith required for Grace to enter? Are we associating Grace with everything being as we think it should be? Does it mean that our lives are easy, peaceful, perfect? It is precisely these criteria which keeps us from recognizing the Grace of our daily lives. Our biggest road block to opening and receiving Grace is the resistance to what is. There is nothing else. And as long as we wish life to be a certain way, we are blind to the Presence of Grace and miss its magical nature which surrounds us at all times. Grace allows us to live our lives connected to That which is bigger than ourselves, with a heart wide open and welcoming everything. When we hear this, do we feel hopeful, blessed, fearful, doubtful?
If we were to ask Sacred energy to shower us with Grace, do you believe we have to be “deserving," or is Grace given freely without condition? Is Grace not God’s love manifested? And if we were showered with Grace, what might it mean for the ego? Would the ego be welcoming, or threatened? Are we willing to "let go" of preferences to create an environment of welcoming?
The heart understands. There is nothing to give up, and in truth, letting go of that concept is pure joy and great relief. What brings our awareness to a state of Grace is the overwhelming knowing and experience of Love... for ALL that is.
We are all deserving of the Sacred’s LOVE, GRACE AND PEACE, because it is what we are.
